Hey Wallaceb, can we have HD quality on a DVD? Or does it have to be on Blu-ray disc?

well, the amount of data on one standard DVD might allow for one HD episode. HD episodes require about 5 times more data space.

If they do come out with episodes in HD they will be either in Blue Ray or DH DVD format

I've thought about it, and really I've come to like the fact that we have to wait for the various eps to show here. It builds up the anticiption and keeps me savoring the last few bits of what's left of this season. Anyway, it's not like I have to wait a year to see the finale! Only gotta wait until the 7th! Yay!

My question is would they even bother putting any Kp on hd-dvd or blu-ray disk. We can't even get them to put in on regular dvd. Any chance we could get Kim to marry royality? Maybe become a princess and we'd maybe get some dvds but I dont think Ron is royality... :laugh:

I'd like to see DVD sets, or at least more episodes on iTunes. I really like to watch on my laptop. I almost bought an iPod on tax-free weekend here in Mass a while back, but I passed on it. Maybe Santa will bring me one.

To not be DVDitizing KP, they must likely think it would not be a highly fruitful endeavor - that the fan base is not financially large enough. With that said, the number of people who would buy KP merch. and have a BLU-RAY and/or HD-DVD player is probably very, very low, and so the chance of KP ever finding its way onto HD disc is probably exponentially lower.

But, if I ever do find out that KP is goin' on HD disc, you better believe I'll be expecting a season 5 and the release of bunches of bonus material. :P

my guess is that, sadly, we will have to fight for a while. As was said, we are having issues getting KP on regular DVD, let alone something in high def :sick:

Yeah, I know.. And in the words of SSJ: "This is a good point."

Worries aside, sending pictures like that, or other polite pictures might do a better job at getting the message across. Here's the logic: How busy would you say an exec over at Disney is? He/She is probably extremely busy. How much time do you think they have to read a (usually substantial) letter? Almost none at all. These execs might be willing to give our e-mails 10 seconds for a picture rather than 2 minutes for a letter. It's worth a shot.

We are getting really off topic on this thread. Maybe the title needs to change, seeing as it's really old news that New Zealand gets to see the new eps before the rest of the world, and also, the US is only a couple eps behind now..

That DVD is not necessarily the best example because it happens to be a very rare object that was not available to the public, and hence the value due to rarity is what drove the price up so high.

I really don't think so. Remember, this is production animation, so I'm guessing that the budget just isn't there to allow for drawing of such minute details.

yes, you probably do not loose any small details, but the fact that KP is made in HD and then converted to TV format, it is always nice to get the "original" video

and, the fact that there are no banners or ads, except the small one in the bottom right corner, and the quality is as good or better than DVD, you cannot go wrong with the HD :thumbup:
