Just wondering.... Aren't the kids the ones that are supposed to vote? Not that I have any problem with it. I think it's fine, but are we allowed?

Man, what is it with the Germans lately? First decent, not-eye-searingly-pink KP merchandise, and now the Kids' Choice awards?

In the spirit of Go City, "Vote early, vote often!"

Kim Possible is HUGE in germany, Germany has more KP fans than just about any other place. it is actually believed by some that the new season of KP was brought on because the DC channel in germany pressured Disney Corp to bring the show back.

now that is unconfirmed, but it is believed

That's an interesting fact.

I'll vote, if it helps KP. But aren't the Kid's Choice awards world wide?

I believe that the syndication deal with the German television station was the main source of bringing the show back. That syndication deal is worth a lot of money to Disney, but the German station wanted more than 65 episodes, so Disney decided to commission the 22 eps for season four.

yep i posted about that some place else :P
it was kinda a damper to the people who thought the fight for 5 by the fans brought the show back, but with this it seems that disney either did not care or even know about the fight.
With that, it seems that season 4 was brought to us only because of how popular KP is in Germany.
This annoys me because KP is huge in other countries as well, but Disney does not seem to car/notice :(

I agree totally. Mark and Bob and Steve were completely gracious with the fans of course, giving them the credit for it all. :thumbup:I certainly think the fans deserve it. But in the end, the decision is sadly still made by the suits at Disney. And they really only listen to the bottom line.

Well put, 'chutes! I mean, seriously, I would LOVE to spend my money on KP DVD box sets! Heck, if they decided to be jerks about it, and only release individual volumes, but still released the entire series, I would still be willing to spend my money that way!

WE'RE OFFERING TO THROW MONEY AT YOU, TO GIVE US SOMETHING YOU WANT, DISNEY! WHY WON'T YOU LISTEN?!?

here is a different version of the "super math equation"
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6746/wallacevo1.gif

it speaks the truth, if disney wants money, which we know they do :ohwell:
then they would be smart if they gave us these darn DVD's

AAAAARRRRRRRGH!!! *dies*I wonder if the Mouse Marketers are holding off for fear that TV airings of episodes won't be as popular if DVD sets are available? If they put out DVDs, they make money once, but ad revenues mean a steady stream of cash ...

Hmmm....:hmm:....You know I think the same thing happened to Babylon Five. They didn't put out the box sets until long after the reruns stopped showing.;)

I've created a monster with my dvd sign idea! Thats great. I know comanys well enough to know thats all the want... Da monies. That what we were taught when I worked at wal-mart... rule #3 Take their money. I was hoping the simple math equation might make that little light bulb in there head flicker for a second....

Jeriddian's right; the Bab-5 sets didn't come out until after the series ended, and reruns stopped. Are the Disney suits hoping to "starve us" for a while before stooping to throw us the first-season boxed set? I fervently hope not...

A corollary of that rule is:

I may be speaking blasphemously here, but if they do pull that kind of stunt I hope we're all still excited enough about KP to even want boxed sets.

Just a thought, has anyone ever thought that they may, at one point, not be a raving fan of KP anymore?

You mean, will our passion one day cool to the point where we'll lose interest in the show?
It's a possibility I've thought about now and then...it all depends on whether or not one discovers something they find more appealing than KP. It also depends on where Disney Channel puts KP in its schedule after the finale airs. Will they continue to run it in its present slots, put it back in prime time, or relegate it to an early-morning-hours "backwater" time slot alongside "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command" and "The Adventures of Timon and Pumbaa"?
I know I'll still be a "Kim" fan, even if DC only runs the show at 3 AM. There are a number of shows no longer seen on TV I still like that I've collected on DVD once the boxed sets came out: Hanna-Barbera's animated "Top Cat" from the 60's, the original CBS series "Airwolf" from the early 80's; there are other old shows I enjoyed that I'd love to see again which haven't yet been released on DVD. But I haven't lost my passion for them; I just can't view them 'cause I don't have 'em on video, and no one's running them on any TV or cable station.
There's a website called "TVShows on DVD.com" that, once you register (it's free - go ahead!), allows you to post the name of any show you'd like to see on DVD. They'll send you e-mail announcements if & when they get word of that show's release on disc so you can go buy it. I've already signed up with them, and they've given me notices about "Top Cat" and "Airwolf's" releases.

I doubt they will make it prime time, but I'm sure they will contiue to run reruns for quite a while. It still pulls in good revenue from advertisers I believe.

... what advertisers? Airing reruns on Disney Channel, they only air ads for stuff on the Disney Channel! There's no outside revenue there...

Now, if they were syndicating it, getting it out over the air, then they'd have the chance to pull in a piece of the advertising pie from that. And, since I guess they do air outside ads on Toon Disney, there's some revenue from that as well.
