It was a lot of work, and probably the last video I do for a while, but it did come out nice:

Yet another falls to the juggernaut that is HSM2! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! :P
The HSM series just seems a bit to fluffy to me, containing about the same nutritional value as the cotton candy I allude to. Plus, I've never been a big fan of musicals. From that point of view, it's somewhat baffling to me how a simple DCOM can get so big it mentions a full-blown article in TIME magazine. It appears, however, that 7.1 million people share a different view...

This is the first episode focused vid I've done (So The Drama), and the first 'Kim hates Erik's guts' vid EVER, I think, I see a lot of Ron hating Erik, never Kim. Time for our favorite teen hero to strike out, to the empowering girl song, Fighter by Christina Aguilera! (I recall someone suggesting that The Green Magic do a Kim video with this song.)
Enjoy guys!

Nice.
... on a side note, I've been hearing a lot of Linkin Park's "What I've Done" lately (partly my own playing it, as it was on the Transformers soundtrack, and partly because it's getting a bit of airtime on the RIFF (http://www.wrif.com)), and well... a certain wielder of the Green Magic has started to drift into my head now when I hear that song.
So, yeah... call it a request, or a challenge (as it could easily be both), but a Shego video for that song would be something to see.

I dunno... Linkin Park's song seems to focus on a personal catharsis or redemption. Shego, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying the perks and moral freedom that the criminal underworld offers.

If your going to do a LP song for Shego I have three suggestions for the song that you could use.
What I've Done (of course)
In the End
Pu5hing Me Aw*y
If you have ever listened to those songs, I mean really listen to them, They would suit Shego.

Does the autocensor consider "away" a bad word, or is the asterisk part of the song title?
EDIT: It appears part of the song title.

Oh, nice! :D Not exactly all the scenes I was expecting, but still good. The flashes (on every signifigant musical beat) got a bit annoying, though.
"Let mercy come... and wash ah-way..."
*Fade to shot of Shego atop BN Headquarters, backlit by lightning.*
"What I've done!"
Eeeee, awesome! :D
Also cool -
"To cross out..."
*From "Naked Genius," as Shego presses the pipe down on Kim and the POV snaps to the vixen's snarling, triumphant face*
"What... I've... beee-come!"
Even cooler still - the rapid-fire flash of images around 2:40.
----
While on videos, a challenge/request of sorts, if you don't already have projects on the roll:
A "Graduation" video (with other clips from the series if needed), using the song "Frontline" by Pillar.
and/or
A Kim/Shego fight video using "Everything about You" by Three Days Grace.
If you've already got video ideas lined up, I'm not trying to shove these on you. Just if you want to try it. I've mentally got suggestions and clips fitted into various lyrics for both songs, if you're interested (PM is probably best). :)

Now that was a very nice video you found, Twila! Like one of the commenters, though, I think some of the flashes were a little unnecessary, when the scene didn't change... but, all in all, a pretty good one.
... I still think Steve Conte's "Call Me, Call Me" from Cowboy Bebop would make for a pretty cool KP video... the tone would especially work with Kim and Ron's separation in ASiT. The song is just one of my favorites, period... and its use in episode 24 is just one of my favorite moments of the series, as sad and poignant as it is.

Wow - that fight scene at 4:10 - that was from "The Big Job," wasn't it? I didn't remember it being that intense.
Nicely done. For me, the most moving part of "Graduation" was actually an accidental freeze-frame of Middleton High's entrance hall. Just with the lights off... and the Seniors banner... and for some reason that trophy case... it hit me like a barrel of bricks (see Mythbusters!) that it really was... over... :(
*It's hard to convey with text, but my eyes are actually misting up right now.*
EDIT: Overlay that shot with Avril Lavigne's "Keep Holdin' On," and I might start bawling.
So far away;
I wish you were here;
Before it's too late,
This could all disappear.
Before the doors close,
And it comes to an end,
With you by my side,
I will fight and defend (ah ah)
I'll fight and defend! (ah ah) Yeah yeah!

A funny backstory; my mother and I were listening to the radio, and Pink's song, U+Ur Hand (anyone reading that title should know what it's about), and she says:

I gave her a funny look.
"Mom, you do know what this song is about, don't you?"

Yeah, my mom's reaction was one I didn't quite appreciate. (Of course, bear in mind I am 32 years old...) Still, I got to throw it right back in her face with two simple words... "Harry Potter". That shut her up but good.
My sister's a lot more cooler about it, although she's given me plenty of crap in the past for various things I've been nerdy about... but since she's come to grips with the fact that she really is a Star Wars and LOTR nerd, she's stopped picking on me.

As I also mentioned in the commercials thread, I recently resurected my broken flashdrive (See "How was your day" for details). On the drive were music videos that The Last Son of 84 - now called TheGreenMagic - made during the stint at ARA. The originals were since lost, but now that I've recovered the flashdrive data, I'm happy to say we've got most of them back. :D :D
If TGM agrees, I think it'd be neat to get these unique efforts into the KP Tome. :)
Most of these songs now also reside in my iTunes.

This was something I had planned for the longest time, and the only KP video with a Nickelback song that I can claim as my own creation.
Anyway, this was one of the first I've done with an actual plot to it.
In ASiT, Ron is moved to Norway. So what if he never came back? What if everything stayed the same way (minus Shego taking over the world, of course. Or maybe it still happened, I don't address it in the video :P)
So, Ron is away from Middleton for so long, and when he finally comes back, he finds that everything has changed, even his girlfriend, Kim Possible, has gone on without him (no, Kim and Ron were not dating in A Sitch In Time, but it's an AU, so bear with me).
All Ron has left are his memories and a few photographs.

This video has developed into one of my favorites. It's cerainly one of your best. The lyric/image/timing matchup is superb. Only criticism is that your image cuts are a little sharp, but dang... if you did something this good in only 3 hours, sharp image cuts don't even factor in. :D
I don't know what it is, but there's something about the "sunrise/blue skies" section that makes me choke up a bit. (The chorus where Kim and Ron jetpacked off the bow of the cruise ship really did it.) Monahan sings it with an unbelieveable amount of power.
It's also fun how the lyrics are innocently risqué* and toy with the amorous before going off in a different direction entirely.
"She's old enough to know / and young enough not to say no / to any chance that she gets / for home-plate tickets to see the Mets..."
(Me: ?!?)
(*Course, teen hormones can warp, twist, distort, and find "meaning" in each and every word in the English language... interpret "She got the kind of strength / that every man wishes he had..." as you will... :errr:)

"...Thinks all men are addicted to porn..."

Goshdarnit, now I'll never be able to watch that scene from "DT" the same way again... :scared:
"...I don't agree with her half the time, but damn I'm glad she's mine...!"
[Upon reconsideration] Second-favorite line of the song.
"Her eyes... that's where hope lies..."
Dang, I'm going to run out of smilie-alotment, since words can't really describe the awesomeness of that scene.
"...Michael Jackson..."
"Scares me to death when she thinks and drives..."
You know what, I think I'm going to have to just list off the song/image segments I liked, since I've only got a 20-smilie limit.
"She takes me as I am, and that ain't easy...."
Favorite line of the song. :D The clips were paired up that well.
"...And sometimes... I think she's truly craaay-zee..."
 :scared:

Looks good; not too much different from WMM, but then, you're just limbering up.
At first I thought the "frozen" effect was video static, but then it kept repeating. It might have timed better if you moved it forward slightly so showed when the lyrics actually said "frozen," or at least extended it. The frozen flash you have now is too short to really register.
Can't say the song style is quite my cuppa,' but then, I'm sure there are people that really like it.

The ice effect was the tough part of this video, because it wasn't an effect, rather then a bridge between clips. It couldn't get it to hold on for more then a few moments, so I timed them as best I could. It was rough, to say the least.

Requested by fireand'chutes77 after he was inspired by my "It's Gonna Be Me" video, once again, I'm taking you back to a time when Britney Spears wasn't crazy, and knowing all the dance moves to *Nsync's music was actually cool.
When this song came out, I was eight, and just getting into the music world. I can still see the original music video in my head, no matter how old I get.
Anyway, making this was a blast, and slightly easier then I thought. Originally, it was going to be just Kim focused, but the use of the words "we" and "our" kinda threw that off, and turned this into a Team Possible vid (minus Wade, shame he doesn't have more actiony scenes :P).

After watching Titanic on Sunday, and remembering that it came out in 1997, I've been having a spurt of nostalgia.

I really like the duet-style of the song, which is somewhat unusual for a rock song of this intensity. If it was just one gender singing, male or female, it'd be an ordinary rock song, whining about how wronged the singer's party was. With two voices, though, it becomes something of a conversation, a (rather venomous) back-and-forth.

Postponed by illness, and after getting well, much time out of the house, I finally finished my second Christina Aguilera video, this time to Bonnie (my first Bon-Bon video, wow).
It was a challanging one, getting the right clips, and making sure they were slow enough for the song's duration, but all and all, things went beautifully (no pun intended ;)).

Well, after watching this video for the 12th time I have to say that it was indeed 'booya' worthy. In fact the entire video conjured up images in my mind of a 57 year old Ron with graying hair easily beating the snot out of an army and fleet of heavily armed Lorwardians . . . I also played the video while playing Civ IV, that was . . . Freakishly appropriate. But enouth about my inner musings.
I give this video a five . . . Out of five.

They said it couldn't be done, they said it didn't make sense, they said it was impossible! But I've proved them all wrong!
You know the events of Graduation by now, Drakken was changed into a mutant flower-guy thing in the beginning, and then uses his flower powers to save the world!
Yes, it sounds like something out of an episode of Captain Planet, but there was no denying the awesomeness of these events.
Okay, maybe there was a little denial, but all and all...
Well, anyway, in this latest video, I combined Drakken's recently aquired powers with the theme of... wait for it now...
Spider Man! Aerosmith's version too!
So watch, and prepare to be amazed as I did the impossible... of sorts. ;)

Well, I plan on using something like what I'm going to request in the "8 Nights" arc, but...
I think a vid of Ron and his battles set to the tune of "Welcome to the Black Parade" would be badical. Every time I hear that song, I can't help but think of Ron in a battle to end all battles.

How did you (and Twila, and other people) accumulate your video stockpile? I might start trying to make my own stuff. My major roadblock for several years has been a lack of a digital video repository; although I also don't have any experience in digital movie editing, my school laptop has Adobe Premiere Elements (A.P.E.) and I figured a could hack on through.
I tried to use iTunes episodes, but the format didn't work with A.P.E., and my attempts to find a back door around the copyright (and find a free, "cracked" copy of A.P.E.) proved.... abortive.
(Coming soon to DVD: The Adventures of Fireand'chutes77 and the Computer Viruses!)
So, now I'm back to square one. If I get desperate, I figure I could chop the clips I need out of other people's existing videos and string them together into my own video, but I can never be sure they have just the clip I need; the video quality isn't too good, either.
Where do you guys get your material? Do you just have to sit down and do a recording slog for all the episodes? And then there's the problem of transporting the data from DVD to the movie program...
Is there a place on the internet where I could download all the KP episodes for free, or someone willing to send me copies of the episodes?
I also won't have my school laptop forever; is there a free video editing program that is equal to - or surpasses - A.P.E. that I can download to my PC?

This video took far longer than it should have, and my reason was a very awful glitch that resulted in me losing half the video. :P
One remake later, I got this. A new Drakken and Shego video, similerly built to that of "What Have You Done Now?" with one twist, no shippiness. More of a look at the 'what if' after Graduation, if they really turned over a new leaf.

Those are the videos I still had around from ARA when TheLastSonof84 posted them on ARA and YouTube. I still don't know why he took them off YouTube, but...
Anyway, I uploaded them to Mediafire and I still have them. I don't know why the MediaFire links aren't working.

My third video!
High-res: http://www.mediafire.com/?ebwj0z79fx2
YouTube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=cCVmyBHDPvI
Sung from Ron's POV, set to "Into the Night" by Santana & Chad Kroeger.
EDIT: Oh, alright, if you must have a "story" to go along with it... This idea contradicts the video's images, but fits better into the lyrics. It's an AU, and Kim and Ron never met each other in Pre-K, or anywhere else. Ron's a middle-rung mercenary, and one night in Puerto Viejo (That's in Puerto Rico, for the geographically challenged/lazy) he's slamming back tequilas in a dark corner of crowded, humid cabana. Suddenly, the crowd opens up, and he catches a glimpse of... her... Unbeknownst to him, that woman gyrating a swath on the dance floor is Kim Possible, mercenary extraordinaire. He gives her a ball (in this case, a Highball ;)), and... the rest is history. Possibly Unstoppable, Inc, is born that night. ;)
---------
A quick skim of YouTube might disprove me, but I'd expect this song is fairly rare for a KP video. I think I did a dem fine job, if I do say so myself.
I nailed down the parts with definite lyrics in record time, but scrounging up clips to fill the instrumental sections was a Really. Big. Pain.
I learned how to use the multilayer/overlay tool; can you tell? :P
I don't quite know what inspired this; I think the starting kernel was "...No room left to move in between you and I" coupled with a scene from "Mind Games," and it all snowballed from there.
My favorite sections are the "lost track of time" bit (I smile every time I see that, even though I made it), and the "Tetris" bit. I was driving at the time when that bit spontaneously popped into my head, and I nearly veered out of my lane laughing!
This was a lot of fun to make! Enjoy and review! :D

Ugh... I hate my computer right now... :ohwell:
*continues beating her head against the desk*
This would've been saved about a week ago, had it not been for one stubborn glitch that refused to go away. In the end, I was forced to save and resave it in pieces of nine, then splice it back together and resave a few more times as I got every error out.
The end result though, was well worth the trouble. ;)
Another D/S "hating how crazy we are about each other" vid, this time to the well chosen song "Hate That I Love You" by Rihanna and Ne-Yo. This is my least favorite song by Rihanna, but it fits so very well, and was requested, so you know the drill. ;)
More overlay experiments in this one, I'm perticularly proud of the one during the "...don't wanna fuss and fight no more..." part.

Kim Possible: Civil Disobedience
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v96_VTBX16o
High-res:http://www.mediafire.com/?mzj3q42jbz4
Because "Kim Possible: 2nd Amendment" seemed too corny. :P
"Sung" from Shego's POV. (The credit's song is Kim's POV.)
Set to "Riot" by Three Days Grace.
Maturity warning: The song contains a lone swear word; I left it in because the scene in question lacks a certain oopmh without it.
The video sorta has three parts to it - after Shego gives the idea to Kim, the latter proposes it to the Underground; the "spontaneous" uprising is then planned and finally executed. This process is punctuated by the "present tense" riot.
Backstory:
An AU to "Graduation." The quantum physics and ballistic trajectories didn't line up this time, and WarHoc and WarMonga didn't plow headlong into their descending battlecruiser after Ron flung them. (Although they still got the snot kicked out of them pretty hard. 8-) )
W & W call in reinforcements, and a *proper* sized fleet shows up this time; the pair's wounds and the space-jump lag of their reinforcements give Kim and Co. time to amscray and go to ground, but the additional battalions secure a beachhead and manage to set up a puppet-state akin to "Half Life 2."
At this point, Kim and Co. are undecided on their options. Humanity got pwned, but we've still got resources and a burgeoning Underground. "Everyone" knows we're going to do "something," but Kim is torn apart because she knows that any formal, declared, organized Uprising will lead to massive loss of civilian life.
Shego, master of mayhem, sabotage and violence, steps in and offers Kim a third option: a little.... Civil Disobedience. After all, a constant, low-grade insurgency defeated the greatest armies in the world in 1775-1783, 1961-1975, and 2003-?
Mash enough little wrenches into the system, and eventually the system will come down.
(Presented with her trademark smirk. Cue "Riot.")
Now Kim has issues as the things she used to crusade against - sabotage, larceny, raids, arson, grand theft auto, vandalism - suddenly flip-flop from "Bad" to "Good." She also has to keep a sharp eye on Shego and Drakken, least they use the ensuing, gleeful anarchy to do a little.... status repositioning of their own...
------------
Not my most elegant video, at least compared to "Into the Night," but then, the song in question isn't very "nice."
With the right music and proper editing, it's a bit stunning how *violent* you can make this show become.
Ahhhhhhh, context..... ;)

Well, the day has come at last... I've reached 100 videos on YouTube!
And in honor of that. I decided to do an extra special video.
My mom has played this song since I was a baby, and I remember always enjoying it. I've loved this song since before I actually understood the lyrics, and when I actually did, I suddenly saw the video potential in this.
It also comes with a long backstory, which is new for me...
--
Distraught by her newfound powers and her parents' death (due to the very comet that give her this gift) young Shannon Vertigo grows up bitter, now raised by her oldest brother, Hector, who leads his siblings into a life of heroics. He often sees the anger in his little sister, but tells her that she must learn to love the life she has been given.
But when years of this finally wear Shannon (now called Shego) down, she becomes sick of her brothers, decides to leave, and turns to a life of crime. But she goes at a cost... the words of Hego forever ring in her head, forever asking, "when you gonna make up your mind?"
--
So, without further ado...

IMHO, the fandom sometimes lets Shego off the hook a little too readily...
To paraphrase Samuel L. Jackson, she's one baaaadd..... ;)
My credits got erased by my movie-making program for some reason; the song used is "Getting Away with Murder" by Papa Roach.
Enjoy and please review! :)

OMG, it's request number twenty-nine! Only one more to thirty! :P
Couldn't have done it without you guys... really, I couldn't have. ;)
This is, by far, one of my most different vids yet, mostly due to the song style and effects (I figured out that I have a whole other selection of effects on Adobe. Yay me!), and somewhat due to the subject.
Often in my Shego videos, I potray Kim, through the villain's POV, as the enemy (see "Who I Really Am", "Hazard To Myself", "Things Change", and the most recent "All I Need" for examples), but this was the first that made it the main subject of the video.
In STG (the middle at least), Kim seemed convinced that Shego was potentially redeemable, and in Graduation, this is further proved in the line, "See? You do care."
But obviously, the raven-haired villainess is not as convinced. ;)
This isn't the first Kim and Shego vid I've done. There was another request awhile back for one to "I Hate (Everything About You)" by Three Days Grace, but when I finished it, the video turned out to be too... Kigoish.
So it remains hidden in my Videos file, only seen by me, my family, and the guy who requested it *points to fireand'chutes*.
And furthermore, I made sure this one was anything but Kigo.
So, anyway...

Kim Possible: 5th Gig
While Kim and Ron are on a mission to Tokyo to recover the ever-errant Pan-Dimensional Vortex Inducer, the PDVI becomes jacked into the TV (again!).... And.... things kinda get... discombobulated... ;)

(BTW, this video will make a *lot* more sense if you've seen the opening credits for "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: 2nd Gig" (http://www.mediafire.com/?ay9zcmjjfl4) first.)

Yay! Back in the video business! And back with something both seasonal and humorous! :D
I spent a little over a week putting this together, with little effects and just sheer, fun editing. The song chosen is my favorite funny X-mas song, and one you can understand, no matter what holiday you recoginize. ;) :P
It's not as great as the Avatar version of this, or the Teen Titans/Inuyasha/Fruits Basket version, but I had a lot of fun. And got a lot of giggles from this, so I had to put it up.

I don't quite know what inspired this one; I was listening to it on the bus, and scenes from KP suddenly popped into the lyrics. That, and the plinking opening chords kinda reminded me of Ron's "childlike wonder."
This was probably one of my most difficult videos in terms of digging up images, not to mention Adobe Premiere was a pain in the butt when it finally came time to render into MPEG.
Enjoy, and please review! :)

This is a video I made a while back before there even was a season four. Tell me what you think =) (I know it's not the best quality and I no longer have the original so I can't edit sorry).

Kim Possible: Vise
Right, um..... Everlast's "What It's Like" meets.... "Kim Possible."
Sure.
Because the first thing you think of when listening to a song about catastrophic urban decay is a cheery Disney show.
YouTube blocked this one due to copyright issues with the Everlast song, which is Teh Suck, so Mediafire seems to be the only option. Sorry. :(
http://www.mediafire.com/?xognvxj1jmm
I don't know why they just don't have an arrangement like they do with my "No Handlebars" video - the video is allowed to play, with side-ads and a link to iTunes to download the song. Seems like a win-win for everybody that way. We get our videos up, the bands get exposure and money. About a quarter of my iTunes is made up of songs that I heard in people's AMVs and then rushed out to get off iTunes. If it wasn't for the free preview on YouTube, Apple would be several dollars poorer.
Meh.
EDIT: Nevermind! :D

"What It's Like" by Everlast

"Kim Possible" (C) Disney
My backstory for Mr. Barkin:
I came up with this theory for "Osama's Last Stand (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2381261/1/Osamas_Last_Stand)," and it became even more probable after I heard his PTSD ramblings in "Fashion Victim."
Barkin was not your standard grunt. Instead, he was really part of a special reconnaissance team, known as SOG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studies_and_Observations_Group), designed to go deep into enemy territory and/or over the border into Laos or Cambodia to report on the actions of the Viet-Cong.
As a small, elite group of commandos, SOG members were all pretty high up the chain of command - hence the reason Barkin, a lieutenant, had to forage for food in "Two to Tutor;" there wasn't enough manpower to fork the task over to some buck PFC.
In 1969, Barkin and his team were airdropped into Cambodia for a recon/search & destroy mission. Unfortunately, the PAVN had overcome their shock and rout of 1968 and developed a system for dealing with these intruders, and Barkin's team was picked apart by booby traps and snipers within a week. Barkin, one of the last survivors, was captured by VC while finding firewood and tortured. Upon his eventual return to the States, he had to panhandle for a while until the country's attitudes adjusted and Barkin managed to snag a low-paying teaching post at a Midwestern high school in the town of Middleton.
I chose the name "Vise" for several reasons: One, "What It's Like" seemed too formulaic; Two, a vise could stand as a metaphor for the crushing squeeze of urban crime and poverty ; and Three, it's a homonym for vice, which is a synonym for sin, though I think both terms paint too broad a brush over the extraordinarily complex web of human behavior.
I can't exactly say enjoy, but please review!

Ah, that brings back some memories... :)
Is it just me, or is the video's music tempo slower than usual?
EDIT: Clicking an offshoot link, I watched the original CMBM video featuring Christina Millian (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FbHpR8jMIY&NR=1).... Now that's just bringing back even more memories.... *wistful smilie*
Watching that promo, I realized that there'd never been anything quite like KP on Disney Channel before.
I mean, this theme song has... has... bass. This theme song has drums. This theme song is something you could consider cranking on the radio.
It's hard to tell this from a promo, and it's even more difficult to be unbiased, six years later, but the show seems to have this.... intricacy to it, a depth, that can't be crisply summed up in loud, garish clips of characters yelling at each other (not that the ad department didn't try....). At 1:12, Wade dives for his computers and says "Wow!" amid other actiony clips.... There's something solid to it all that just seems cool.
I guess the thing that really does it for me is around 1:09, where CCR says, "What's th' sitch?" It's authoritative, it's in control, it's, well... kinda bada**. Kim's S1 voice had command to it, something I think that was lost by S4. I don't know if that was a conscious voice-throwing decision on CCR's part, or if her voice simply changed, but the show misses something without it, IMHO.

So, I ask myself:
Disney good-endings aside, what kind of person would it take to save the world from dangerous criminals, jump out of airplanes and undergo extensive martial arts training, risk debilitating injury and face certain death, and keep coming back to it, day after day after day?
The return ping wasn't pretty.

Kim Possible (C) Disney
============
Some get their buzz with heroin. Others, methamphetamine. For this AU Kim Possible, it's adrenaline.
She still has a soul - the world saving is there - but the altruism is only a happy byproduct in her quest to keep her heart racing. Occasional mission partner Ron Stoppable, able to survey her spiral from a vantage impossible for a close friend, tries to warn her just how powerfully - alluringly - the abyss can stare back, but... to no avail.
And so, like any addiction, it begins to corrode her from the inside out. Fighting crime by night means she's wasted during the day; her grades are tanking, her family life is in tatters, it's getting harder and harder for her to tell the difference between herself and the darkness she's fighting. She hops from boyfriend to boyfriend, desperately trying to recreate the rush, but finds that she..... can't. Pushing higher and harder and faster, she tries to plug the giant sucking sound that is her life with a shining glaze of endorphins.
But jetpacks can't fly forever. At some level, Kim knows this - is self-aware of exactly what's happening to her. She begins to split in two, the adrenaline junkie battling for dominance against the high-school home-girl. The winner? Well..... time to stop reading and click play. ;)

"Kim Possible" (C) Disney
Once the kick is thrown, once the punch connects, the follow-through, the fall-out, cannot be recalled... and sometimes it hurls the thrower over the lip into a new, unknown divide.
I'll let you conjure your own theories for this one - Is Kim a cyborg? Did the Centurion Project take over? Is 42 really the Number for Everything?
Personally, the lyrics seemed to fit, and I ran with it. I actually started work on it in July, when I got my new tablet PC (required for engineering classes). Once I got to college, my time for video-editing fell off a cliff, so I've only just now gotten it done.
I learned how to use After Effects even more effectively (though it was a pain in the butt). Yay! :D

I just joined GJA forum and thought that you shouldn't be alone on this thread. Have been a KP fan for a few months over a year and haven't gotten jaded yet.
I like your concept of Kim being an adrenaline addict, and how the two sides of her personality have to do battle with each other, and not just with the various villains that she encounters.
Am in agreement with your comments on the KP theme song, it sounds way "adult" for a kid's show, and CCR's voice is part of it. She is of course a stage actress with Broadway experience, and has to project her voice much more than a TV or movie actor. What I like in the picture at 1:09 is her hand holding the Kimmunicator, it's big, not a dainty girl hand at all. It looks like something that could grab you right out of your chair and throw you against a wall.
Even thought Barkin was shown in a jungle in "Fashion Victim", in the show he doesn't much look over 40, and would have been way too young for service in 'Nam.
I'm going to have to check out "Osama's Last Stand". There are so many KP fanfics out there, and so little time to read them all.

Welcome aboard! Good to see you around! :D
I like your concept of Kim being an adrenaline addict, and how the two sides of her personality have to do battle with each other, and not just with the various villains that she encounters. Thanks for the feedback! "Sober," along with "Vise," were certainly some of my more experimental videos.
Am in agreement with your comments on the KP theme song, it sounds way "adult" for a kid's show, and CCR's voice is part of it....Two concepts always struck me as particularly powerful:
One, "when danger calls / Just know that I am on my way." Whenever I hear lines like this, I have a cool visual of a global chain of communication coming to life, relaying the most vital of pleas from point to point to point to Wade, then on to Kim. What's meaningful to me is the sentiment it projects: "Fear not. If you can do your part to hold on for just a little bit longer, I promise, I promise, I am on my way." (There's also something.... essential in the list of faint phrases at the beginning of the theme song where Kim stands in her civilian clothes, very powerful being two simple words near the very bottom: Fear Not.)
Two, "I will be there for ya 'til the very end ('til the very end)"
This indicates to me Kim will "stand by you" (to paraphrase the Beatles) until the job is done, even to the pain of death. I'm sure the song wasn't supposed to go that deep, but I picked up on an enormous vibe of trust and selflessness right there - nothing less than the willingness to put her life on the line for a stranger in need.
Perhaps in a post-9/11 world, this sense of selflessness is what we really needed.
Even thought Barkin was shown in a jungle in "Fashion Victim", in the show he doesn't much look over 40, and would have been way too young for service in 'Nam.I was extrapolating his appearance from my dad, who was born in 1951 and (to me) doesn't look very old. I assume that if Barkin remained in top physical condition, the effects and visual presence of age would be much less.
I'm going to have to check out "Osama's Last Stand". There are so many KP fanfics out there, and so little time to read them all.I hope you enjoy it. :) It is my version of a "what if...?" story. What if KP co-existed - was an actual fact of life - in our world, with all its leaders and problems?
