In your "Final KP Marathon" schedule list, the t-i-t-l-e of "A Sitch In Time" shows up as "A S***ch In Time." Did you misspell "Sitch" As "s-t-i-t-c-h," and did the software misinterpret the second through fourth letters of that word as a vulgar form of the word "breast?"

Yep. I'll have to correct that.
We have word censorship, as you surmised. I am working to download additional software enhancements (something ARA and invissionfree software does not have), including spell checking, individual usergroups flood control, and individual usergroup editing time limits. If you wish to suggest others, feel free. We can discuss it in ED

My Guide for media center updated today and is starting to show the beginning of the marathon listing for the first day up to 7pm.. were gettting closer and the excitement level is building for these 3 days. Mainly because the big season 4 finale is in the line-up.

That is one HUGE marathon! And to think, I'll be in school two out of those three days. But, wow! I'm looking forward to it.
I can see Clean Slate, which I missed, at that point. And the Graduation episode (in two parts!) should be interesting.

Once this marathon goes down I have every episode DV-R'ed and i'm going to get to work on the rest of the season 4 transcripts, and then work on some music videos i've been waiting to work on. I've been wating to get all the episodes, but other then that it was getting a video editing program that I could use to work and get the job done. I've finally found it it looks like so i've got my fingers crossed it won't fail me once i'm ready to go.

Now THAT is what I'm talkin' about! Seeing it appear on the grid makes me very happy!
And, again, it's a thing of beauty that I'm on vacation that week, staying home, and will have plenty of time to record it all in one sitting. (Which reminds me - I'll need to pick up some new tapes tomorrow. ...yeah, I'm still using a VCR - don't have a way to digitally record at this time.)
Just went to Yahoo TV, and it's up there, at least through Wednesday... although, oddly enough, all of the times were for GMT?!? (The 12:30 AM airings were all listed as 4:30 AM, and the marathon is listed as starting at 4:00 PM) I'll have to double-check my Yahoo settings...

I hear ya on the VCRs. Theres nothing wrong with them though. If my computer didn't come with all it did... which I actually didn't know it did the Dv-r thing before I got it then I'd still be using a Vcr too.
What actually was suprising to me that Dv-r's are not more readily available then they where. Unless you get get one though the cable company, or Tivo.. then I dont know where else locally in my area where you can. I never really check the market before to get one for a TV 'till as of late when my dads dvd/Vcr recorder broke.

i actually already have the transcripts done for season 4. i am only missing a few episodes. now, they only contain dialog, but you can use them, and add in the actions and more details. that will save you A LOT of time and effort.

I'm taking the week off. I have two DVD recorders to record in tandem digitally at the highest possible quality which only allows me one hour run time per DVD+R disc. I'm gonna get every one of them. ( I already have them all on VHS tape, but the quality is not as good as this:cool:).

So are you going to have to switch disks every two hours or so? (I'd assume you'd let one recorder record, then set the other to come on as the first one stops.)

I have to switch disks every hour. Each disk will record 62 minutes. I'll overlap the last two minutes of one disk with the first two minutes of the next disk.

Oh. So you're having two recorders record the same material at the same time? Why are you taking that approach, as it seems a bit redundant? Do you want two copies, one for screencaps and the other for whatever?

The way I read it, the recordings are staggered. I.E. the first one would start at 11:59 AM, and end at 1:01 PM; the second one starts at 12:59 PM, and ends at 2:01 PM. Thus, a new disc would have to be inserted into the first player between 1:01 and 1:59, so that it can start at 1:59, and so on.

That sounds like a lot of recording! I have most of the KP episodes, so I think I'll only record the Season 4 episodes I don't have (which start after "Clean Slate"). And the final episodes, of course.
For some reason, the way they are ending KP now seems more final than the way it was ended previously. Perhaps it's the big marathon, but I think it has more to do with the fact that the last episodes are about graduating.

Yeah, Tivo may be the way to go. Maybe I should have done that, but I already have the two recorders and I didn't want to spend more money. The problem is that I can't get the disks in the recorder turned around fast enough to catch all of the episode footage. So what I do is run one disk through recorder #1 for the first two episodes. One minute before the end of the second episode, I start recording on the the second disk to record the third and fourth episodes. Two minutes after that and one minute after the end of the second episode, I finish the recording of the first disk and then finalize it. In the meantime recorder #2 is going, recording episodes three and four. When it is one minute before the end of episode four, I will start recording in recorder #1 again to get episodes five and six. Two minutes later I will finsh recording and finalize episodes three and four on that disk, and set it up for episodes seven and eight. And the process continues onward like that, back and forth.
Yeah, it's labor intensive, but I will be up for it.;)
The purpose is to have them in a better digital format than the VHS recordings I have, and also to serve as the source for the better screencaps, although WallaceB does have a better collection. Even digitally, my screencaps will still come from SD transmission. KP is actually made in HDTV, but is only shown in SD here in the states. But in Australia, it is shown in HD. He is able to get those episodes in HDTV and render his screencaps from them for KPFW. Still, there can be a place for the screencaps we can get from my digital recordings.

Looks to me like it's more in the order that the network originally aired them. Note the order of the S4 episodes, plus the fact that Crush is airing before Tick-Tick-Tick, when we know that chronologically Tick-Tick-Tick comes first.

Well, considering I've only used a brand-new tape on the season premiere in February, and I've re-recorded over the majority of my tapes a number of times, and since I don't have the do-re-mi to blow on newer tech at the moment, getting new tapes was definitely the best way for me to go.
Plus, they'll suffice for a time, provided "The Man" eventually relents and gives us what we want, namely DVD box sets.

If it is indeed true, that Germany is forerunner and the main financier of the renewal, maybe we should be targeting them with our Box Sets requests, because apparently () they're more KP friendly.

You know, I still believe that I am just a little too old to be watching cartoons all the time, and squealing like a little girl over KP really doesn't help my case of trying to become more mature. :harhar:
But I guess there a lot of people older than I am that are as excited as I am for a marathon of animated proportions. That makes me feel better knowing I am not the only one.

I've been taking a good hard look at the line-up for the big marathon and I can't help but wonder if the order the put this in is the long awaited sequential order that we've always wondered about?Well, right off the bat I notice one problem with that idea: "The Golden Years" precedes "Job Unfair" on Marathon Thursday, even though Kim mentions JU's weather machine mission in TGY.
Yeah, I sould of probably looked better. Like I said, It doesn't seem to follow the production or episode # order, so it my be by date orginally aired. I'll have to do some research to confirm this.

Was the Golden Years produced before Job Unfair?
For some reason I could see the writers looking at he script of the Golden Years and seeing the reference to the weather machine as a good episode idea, then going with that. But that's probably not how it worked...

But that's probably not how it worked...Production numbers differ by 1, with TGY 210 and JU 211, but JU first aired one week before TGY.

Ah, thanks. That makes sense, or more sense, anyway. So i guess it's not airing order, then. Maybe production order...

Well, going by Cloud's list, with "Bueno Nacho" and "Tick Tick Tick" being the first two, in that order (even though TTT chronologically preceeds BN), that would definitely suggest production order. If it were airing order, "Crush" would then be the first episode.

They appear to be following production order almost exactly from what I can see. They depart to place the movies in prime time.
(I checked the Megathon list against lists available in the archived thread linked in the sticky thread at the top of this forum. It's kind of buried.)

new description of the finale, and new images
"THREE DAY MARATHON OF HIT ANIMATED SERIES "KIM POSSIBLE" INCLUDES NEW EPISODE AIRING
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7
BURBANK, August 28, 2007 . . . Disney's "Kim Possible," the hit animated adventure series from Walt Disney Television Animation, will feature a three-day marathon event beginning WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 leading up to the premiere of a brand new one-hour episode FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
In the two-part premiere episode, "Graduation," Ron fears that change is imminent with high school graduation approaching. †Kim assures him that "Graduation is not the end of the world," when in fact "the end" may be closer than they realize. †Invading aliens interrupt the graduation ceremony to abduct Kim, forcing her to work as a team with Ron, Drakken and Shego to fight against Warmonga and Warhok, who vow to take over the planet Earth.
A three-day "Kim Possible Every Possible Episode Ever" marathon will take place from Wednesday, September 5 to Friday, September 7 (12:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
Disney Channel is a 24-hour kid-driven, family inclusive television network that taps into the world of kids and families through original series and movies. †Currently available on basic cable in over 90 million U.S. homes and to millions of other viewers on 27 Disney Channels around the world, Disney Channel is part of the Disney-ABC Television Group."

Those caps are just plain beautiful! The first one is my favorite, it also happens to my desktop background, because the colors just seem so vivid, though I believe that's due to the contrast between the light and the shaded areas of the cap.

Of, course, WallaceB has a big edge in that he's receiving the episodes in HDTV. It's the low res HD, but it's still far better than the SD we get we in the states. I am so jealous of that!:P If only they would put the eps out on disc.:(

I have a dream...No, that was someone else...
I'm glad you wrote this, jeriddian, for it is indeed true.
To quote the late John Belushi from Animal House:
"It ain't over, until we say it's over!"
It may be over for the Disney network, but so was 'Star Trek' for NBC...and 'The 6-Million Dollar Woman' for ABC (if I remember correctly)...
I myself intend to dish out another 1 million words of KP over the next 2-3 years, at a minimum, and I'm 51! I've been told that too many things are 'impossible:'
It was 'impossible' for me to marry my sweetheart because she was of another race.
It was 'impossible' for me to adopt her kids from a previous marriage because it hadn't been done before.
It was 'impossible' for me to work for a particular major corporation because they had told my dad that he was unhireable there in 1945 because he was black.
It was 'impossible' for me to play the violin in Jr. High school because I didn't own an instrument.
It was 'impossible' for me to...shall I go on?
Now, you know why I love KP: she's 'living' the life I've been through, as the 'never be normal' one, the one ostracized by the 'cool kids' of every race, and even of my own cousins, aunts, and uncles.
If we don't bring KP the show back, let's bring back KP the musical, or KP on Ice (a giant Naked Mole Rat, skating, anyone?: what is that, that freaky thing?), KP books, books based on KP, more and more FanFic, until the weight finally crushes the intolerant.
Go and read Rocinante's 'Celler' series on FanFiction.com if you want to understand better: if you've never been on the outside, looking in, read his works, or mine: I think I do a pretty decent job of showing what it's like to overcome unimanigable odds, eh?
Sorry: I'll get off the soapbox, now...you can leave your offerings in the bowl on your way out....

My big dream would be to found my own video game company, get a long-term license to the series, and release interactive KP adventures for the next decade, like they've been doing with Star Wars for the past three decades. Okay, with the finale coming this Friday, I figured I'd post an updated copy of this. It's a little essay I wrote about KP for the old TV Tome forum back in 2004. Here it is:
Something to consider...
Yes, we convinced Disney to produce twenty-two more episodes of “Kim Possible,” and maybe the show’s production will cease for good after that. But consider these points:
1) We may have only convinced Disney to prolong the show's run for just one more season, but our letters, e-mails, etc., have certainly shown them that KP has a strong & loyal fan following. It's also shown Disney that they've not only reached their target audience, but viewers of all ages - beyond the "tweens" the show was created for. "Kim Possible" is a popular show - why else would the fans write in and try to keep it in production? This is the sort of viewer response TV producers and broadcasters pray for - because it means folks out there are not only watching the show, but also buying the sponsors' products as well (not to mention all the merchandise based on the show itself). So we can count this as a success in itself.
2) Even after production of new episodes ceases, "Kim Possible" is not going to suddenly vanish from Disney Channel. They're still running and promoting "That’s So Raven" on D.C., and new-ep production ceased on that show just this past year. Like "Raven," "KP" is just too popular right now for Disney to abruptly yank it. So, for the next few years at least, we'll still have "KP" reuns on Disney Channel. Plus, Disney is still marketing new "Kim Possible" merchandise – I remember Steve Loter telling us that they’re planning stuff to be released along with the Season 4 episodes. If they're still planning new merchandise that's tied in with the show, I don't think Disney is ready to toss "KP" into history's trash bin just yet. And those of us with the foresight to do so have videotaped, Tivoed, or DVR’ed all the episodes, so we can watch Kim & her friends in action any time we want, day or night. Once a fictional character has been created and embraced by an audience, he/she will always live on, in one form or another. Consider Sherlock Holmes, Tarzan, Batman and Robin, or even Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock. Those characters still live on, years after their creators have died. I believe it will be thus with Kim Possible. As long as we enjoy watching her exploits on DVD or video recordings, or reading about her in the official books or fan fiction stories, Kim and her friends will always be with us. You see, Kim Possible has found a home in our hearts. And that's the very best home we can give her.

Okay, with the finale coming this Saturday, I figured I'd post an updated copy of this.

Disney shows the premiere for the finale but with that being said they say nothing about it being the series finale at all. Are they trying to hide that this is the end just like they did with StD? Back then I watched but I had no clue that for that time being that was the end... and if i wasnt here i wouldn't know that this is the end of the line. What about all the fans that don't know this is it... there really left in the dark.:dubiety:

That's Disney for you.
While Graduation is not a movie per se, I have to wonder what the odds are of Disney giving it the DVD treatment any time soon. Again, not a movie like ASiT or StD, but it is the big finish nonetheless.

I don't recall Disney ever doing anything different than treating its viewers like mushrooms (place in dark and feed manure until we grow enough to cut down...).

That's Disney for you.
I noticed the same thing with the KP commercial, and the final episode of "American Dragon: Jake Long." For AD, they simply said "a new episode!" No mention whatsoever of finality or the last episode of the season. If I hadn't gained a passing interest in the show - or didn't have GJA's "AD" section, I wouldn't have known it was the end. What are they trying to do, sucker people in to keep watching and then leave them to wonder why they haven't heard of any "new episodes" in a while?

Hence the promos for antiques like Sister, Sister that I remember seeing very recently.

I had hoped to get the marathon taped, but I, unfortunately, do not have television. I had lined up two people to tape it for me, but just learned today that neither will be able to do it. :(
It shouldn't be an issue taping "Graduation" on Friday, but I am kinda bummed that both my go-to person and my back-up can't do it today.

Disney does that all the time. The error can be as much as five minutes. I've DVR'ed KP before and ended up with five minutes of Corey In The House or something equally dreadful where I expected the beginning or ed of KP to be.

And, Ashley, Joss left a message for you, too: "Hang on, darlin': the ride's wonderful, and so is the man, if he's anything like mine!"
Disney obviously wants this marathon to succeed (Sarcasm 101): they start it after school starts, and start it during the school day and continue it through the night while the 'target audience' is asleep. Wonder if they've figured out that their target audience is different than planned....They are confusing, no? Would love to see the Nielsons on this....

Actually Nebster, I was reffering to kids in general... But yes to quote Wade I am doomed...
If Disney really wanted this marathon to succeed they would have made the run only from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am... Kids sure do hate bed times...

It's especially important that I set the VCR in advance since I'll be helping pack my mom's mini-van for the last art fair of the season, then going to get take-out food for dinner (like I usually do when we pack up). So, I probably won't get to watch it in real time. That's OK; I can save it for later.

A little. However, compared with the promos for the "High School Musical 2 Dance-Along" (or whatever) and that other new show promo(s), the reminders were a very minor annoyance.
For the life of me, I can't understand why Disney would actually encourage recording the episodes in the Marathon promo and then mar them so badly with the non-KP (and soon to be terribly dated) promotional overlays. The only logical explanation would be so the legions of fans would still be willing to shell out the $$$ for DVD sets. Otherwise, it makes absolutely no sense. I'd like to think they would refrain from doing it during the "Graduation" premiere, but that's probably wishful thinking. In all likelihood, I'll just have to wait until it's rebroadcast to get a suitable archive recording.

I'm recording the episodes at maximum quality which gives me the shortest time of recording per disk. Only one hour of video per disk. As insurance that one disk misses something at least part of the the time, I overlap the recordings as a precaution. I can overlap every third episode. To insure the recordings start on time and end on time, I start and stop them personally without relying on the timer, because DC's timing of the episodes starts and stops are a little too erratic and not consistent, probably on purpose. I only get two episodes per disk as a result, but it's the highest quality recording I can get of the eps.

Wow. I thought thats what it was though... Highest quality that is. I never owned a direct to dvd recorder. I did tapes but all of them went to SLP with give you max amount of recoding time with of corse lowered the quality. With the DV-R files to dvd... I can fit an average of 4 full episodes per disk and keep it at the best quality. But then take into account i cut out commercials and the opening and closing credits... except for season 4 closing credits.

I was rather surprised today, to see something I've missed before in previous repeats (possibly because I usually fast-forward through the opening credits) - but I was utterly blown away by Kim interrupting the opening credits for "The Ron Factor" to repeat her disbelief that GJ wanted Ron!
I'm well into the fifth tape now, although I don't actually need StD, since I do have that DVD (as well as ASiT), but I'm just letting it go anyway. All of my previous recordings before the marathon were on used tapes, anyway...

"The Ron Factor" was the first episode shown of Season Two, and that was one of the little things they did to introduce the episode when it first aired back in 2003.

I've seen that intro. Did they stop showing it that way? I was never aware. (This can be ignored if I'm totally wrong).
I've got my DVD Recorder set for tomorrow. I'm excited.

When Kim interrupted the opening credits the first time I saw it along time ago... I'd liked to have died laughing. But then again it was a bit unexpected too. Not sure which writer came up with it but is was a good idea.

Heh, that was probably the most amusing part of the episode. Certainly a subtle way of breaking the fourth wall...

I absolutely loved that scene. It made the entire episode for me: "You're kidding, right?" with the incredulous look on Kim's face that GJ would want her BF over her...well, that, and Betty in her GJ jumpsuit...I love blue....

No, they've always shown it that way. It's just that they haven't shown "The Ron Factor" for such a long time that we tend to forget about that little bit - besides, that's the only time in the entire series that they put a gag like that in the opening credits. That alone makes "The Ron Factor" unique.
EDIT: ...well, that, and Betty in her GJ jumpsuit...I love blue....
Yes; I like Dr. Director, too... ;)

This big ol' Marathon reminded me of a segment from Chapter 4 of Rocinante's "Gleam Surge," (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2640970/4/Gleam_Surge) which wrapped up his "Anything Is Possible" Quartet.
This was written in '05-'06, before news of KP's renewal broke... It's amazingly prophetic. :D
"...Just finishing up the paperwork for the day," said Marcy through the phone reciever. "I wanted to tell you…I just got a call from home…are you handy by the TV?"
"Sure am," Kim replied.
"Do me a favor and turn over to Disney, can you?"
Kim leaned forward for the remote on the table. "Okay," she said, turning back to William as she punched a couple of numbers on the keypad of the remote. "Marcy wants me to see something over on Dis--"
Kim froze as the screen turned to a scene from her past - a scene from the third segment of an episode of her show, from more than ten years ago.
William leaned slightly forward, shifting his gaze back and forth from Kim to the TV, his mouth slightly agape. "They're…they're airing your show again? After all this time?"
"I…I guess so," Kim stammered.....
"I've got it on here in my office," Marcy said over the phone. "Valencia came across this and called me from home…I don't remember this episode, though."
"It's 'Lockdown'," replied Kim. "It's from the fourth season. Drakken tries to track down and gather DNA samples from the nastiest criminals at Alcatraz Prison and bring them to life to make an evil army."
"So I guess I don't have to ask if you got out of there?" quipped Marcy.
The screen switched to Kim pulling a hairpin from a pocket of her cargo pants and working at the cell door's lock.
"You know me," Kim smirked into the phone. "I don't like to give endings away…but…there was a fifth season, you know......."
......
The screen then blackened and the closing credits scrolled up, voiced over by the announcer:
::Good things are never gone forever. Stay tuned for more as the special 48-hour Welcome Back Kim Marathon continues, right here on Disney Channel::
"All five seasons?" Kim's jaw dropped. "93 episodes and both movies?"

HELP!
Does anyone know the next time "Graduation" will be played? Sometime this weekend, perhaps?
One of the three people (can't be too careful) who I had lined up to tape it (my BIL) will not be back in town until Tuesday. However, I can go over to his place and tape it on his VCR.
Problem: I didn't learn this fact until 10 pm last night when it was too late to go over and I am working both jobs today so won't be able to go over until it is too late.
So if it is on Sat or Sun, it is still doable.
Thanks

It only seem like we were talking about the whole thing and today... It's almost over :dubiety: I watched be made with this and as everything will end offically for me when graduation is said and done. It was a fun ride while it lasted... now we go back to that horable 12:30am time slot. We've gotta get an afternoon slot back.
I would like to see disney start to play all the episodes in order again day by day so for those that missed the majority of this will get a chance to see everything they missed... even if it is over time.

I wonder why it’s so hard this time.
There was a strong sense of closure after seeing StD and for the entire seven-month period before the S4 bombshell was dropped, I did not feel a sense of loss. Maybe that is weird, but I only had pleasant feelings when I thought of the show.
This time around, however, I feel kinda like I’m walking to the gallows.

I actually felt the oppsite when StD ended... K/R finally got together and we never got to see how it would work and how things would change. But thank God season 4 came and filled in more of those questions with answers. I've become very attached to the series and charaters and love the story lines. I think now that i've seen more that i have way more closure then with StD. Though i would like to see even more but this was good enough if this is it.

Hope springs Eternal, guys. I know how you feel. I have that sense of finality also. StD ws both an ending and a beginning for me. It spawned a whole new universe in my mnd and two complete novels coming from my mind adn imagination, with more to come. S4 has made things too different for me to adapt my 'Resoltuion' story to it, therefore I have to continue it as if S4 didn't happen. But we can still dream......and plan.;)
EDIT: On the Marathon, I have 48 discs recorded. Everything except the movies recorded. There was a glitch in transmission of the 2AM "Car Alarm" where th picture froze in teh middle of Kim trying to fix the sloth, then it cut directly to where the tweebs fixed it. I has to set the recorder to record ther 5AM showing on DC2. That worked just fine thankfully. The signal was not glitched. I figure about 72 discs total when I'm finished. I'm finding that the late showings after 11AM have only minimal advertising bars, whcih may be because they are usually repeats of earlier in the day. For example, today they are showing all of season four after the first four episodes up until Graduation, then after graduation, they are showing the same episodes again but in reverse. I'm sure they will have less bannerage on the bottom then.

Well, Cloud, I don't think Disney's going to yank KP off their schedule just yet. She's still too popular right now. As to the late timeslot, don't forget: this is still the summer programming we're seeing. The new season (and new shows) start next month, and we'll see a change in the schedule then. What timeslot Kim ends up in is anybody's guess right now, but I'm betting she'll be in there somewhere. If worse comes to worse, we can always set our VCRs (or Tivos, DVRs, or DVDRs; whatever we each have) to record the show in order to get our daily "Kim-fix," but I think we'll have our Kimmie with us for some time to come. :)

Or did Jessica have some lines in there that I just don't remember?
And don't worry about sounding obsessed; you've just got a favorite character in the show who doesn't have the lead role. When I was in high school, my favorite Star Trek character wasn't Capt. Kirk or Mr. Spock; it was Kirk's personal assistant in the first season, Yeoman Janice Rand (wore a red dress with her blond hair piled up in a basketweave-style hairdo)...I developed quite a crush on her. So don't feel embarrassed.

You're remembering the TV scene correctly, but in a scene near the end Bonnie, Monique, Tara and Jessica are peppering Ron with questions about the Oh Boyz, and Jessica has a line or two there. "Does Nicky-Nick have a new girlfriend yet?" is hers IMO (you can't really see which girl is speaking there), and "He asked me!" (to refill his slurpster) is definite.

Yes, I am set:). I have them all on digital, but I want to keep recording them to see if I can catch the episodes with minimal advertising on them, not the big splashy stuff they showed during the megathon. Maybe they'll do the advertising at different times so that I can splice the scenes together without any advertising. I can live with the little half translucent Disney logo in the lower left hand corner.:D
