Chapter one: Finding Out

Kim, Quin, and Ron were sitting in another boring algebra class. Ron was paying no attention whatsoever.\\I don't know what's worse//, he thought to himself, \\A doctors appointment,or Ms. Whisp's algebra class.//.

Kim looked at Ron and saw that he was daydreaming. . . again.

"Ron, pay attention!" Kim whispered to him. That got him out of his daydream about Quin. "Or else you'll get detention. . .again!"

"Oh," Ron blushed a little, hoping that Kim didn't notice.

He turned away from Kim only to see Quin working hard on the equation she was assigned. He sighed dreamly as he watched her scrible numbers and math symbols. She was beautiful to him in every way imaginable. Kim saw him staring at Quin and giggled to herself. \\Man, it's obvious that Ron is crushing on Quin//.

"Stoppable!!" Ron heard his name called by Mr. Barkin. "Y-yes Mr. Barkin?"

"You're wanted in the office to go to a doctor oppointment." Mr. Barkin replied without looking up from his papers.

\\Finally.// Ron thought as he got all of his stuff and left.

Ron and his Mom was sitting in the waiting room waiting for the results of his check up. The doctor came out and asked to see his mom. His mom followed the doctor into his office.

A few minutes later his mom came out crying.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Ron asked with a feeling that there was bad news to his check up. The doctor came out after his mom. "Ron?" the doctor asked with a concerned look. "

Yes?" The doctor sighed and said, "I'm afraid you have cancer."

"WHAT?!!" Ron shouted so loud that he woke up the sleeping receptionist.

So many thoughts went through Ron's head. \\Can I be cured? What will I tell Kim and Quin? Will I go bald because of it? What am I going to do?//

Then Ron fainted. "Oh, I'm so sorry." his mom said as she lifted him off of the ground.The doctor replied, "Don't worry. We get that reaction a lot."
