Kim trudged trough down town Middleton as if she was in a fog. This
just couldn't be happening! Tim and Jim were just out of town on the
side of the road. Tim's micro-chip tracker showed that he was moving,
though not going far away. Jim's was stationary.
She finally got through town and started looking around for something-anything-that might lead her to her brothers. Then Kim decided to try something else. "Tim?! Jim!!!" she yelled. Seconds went by. Then...
"Kim? Is that you? It's Tim! Come here!" Kim turned towards the sound of Tim's shaky voice and started sprinting towards him, squinting to see. Once she got there she threw her arms around Tim and hugged him really hard. Surprisingly, Tim hugged her back. Hard. there weren't enough words to decribe I relieved Kim was. All she could say was "I love you."
After a few minutes Kim straightened up and looked beyong her brother into the darkness, searching. "Where's Jim" she thought. Slowly, she turned towards Tim, who looked extremely upset. Before Kim could speak, he did.
"I-I'm glad that you're okay, b-but Jim...isn't." Kim gasped.
"What do you mean, Tim?" Kim asked. Tim was silent. "Tell me, please."
Tim opened and closed his mouth, and then looked over to the road-side. A van lay on the grass, twisted into an odd metal shape. Beside it a woman and her son were hugging each other; Tim and Jim's best friend and his mom. Kim cautiously headed towards the wrecked vehicle, afraid of what she might find. She walked behind it and found a small human figure sprawled on the grass beside the van. Kim gasped in horror. It was Jim.
She picked up her brother, who's head lolled to the side like a rag doll's. His skin was blood covered and cold, and his eyes were closed. Kim set him on the floor and listened to his heart. Nothing. All the relief she had felt moments before was replaced with the horrible reality of death. she felt her other brother's presense over her shoulder. "How long has he...been...like...this?" Kim asked slowly to Tim.
"I think ever since...the storm stopped. I tried, but he just.." Kim looked at her brother, who was crying. They couldn't save Jim now. Kim couldn't. She thought of her website that said "Kim Possible: She can do anything." "No I can't." Kim thought. "I can't do anything. Jim's dead, and I can't save him." Kim collapsed and starting crying, thinking of all the times she had been mean to her brothers, and of the good times they'd had together.
Kim looked over at Tim, who looked worse. After all, he'd just lost his twin, and twins had stronger bonds than any other kind of sibling. "He's really upset. Come on, go over to him. If you can do anything than go comfort your own brother!" She walked over to Tim, put her arms around him, and whispered "It'll be okay, Tim." They both looked out into the night, at all of the harm and destruction the twister had caused. Then they both cried for a long, long time.
